Marvin Kendall Pleasant's Obituary
Marvin Kendall Pleasant, 64, of Burlington, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on December 24, 2025. He was born in Huntington, WV, on August 25, 1961, to the late Maurice Pleasant, Sr. and Shirley Pleasant. Kendall received Christ at an early age and was a current member of The Living Sanctuary in Huntington, WV. He was a graduate of South Point High School and went on to serve faithfully in the United States Army. Kendall later worked for the United States Postal Service in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice, Sr., a brother and a sister; grandparents: Owen and Imogene Pleasant, Robert and Helen Crews; and an uncle, Robert Crews. Left to cherish his memory: his mother, Shirley; two brothers: Michael (Francine) Pleasant of Hurricane, WV; and Maurice, Jr. (Kelly) Pleasant of Reynoldsburg, OH; aunts: Jean Mickens of Maryland, and Susanne Howard of Ohio; a special Godmother, Maxine Conwell of Ohio; and a host of family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, January 3, 2025, at the Living Sanctuary Church in Huntington, WV. Rev. LaShawn Kailer and Biship Gary Edwards will be officiating. Burial will follow at Burlington 37 Cemetery in Burlington, OH. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
