Mary Jessie Adkins' Obituary
Mary Jessie Adkins, 69, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. Born on March 29, 1956, in Huntington, she was the daughter of the late Winfred and Doris Campbell Miller. Mary retired from Marshall University and loved her job as an Academic Advisor working with the students. She loved the ocean and was an avid boogie boarder. Mary is survived by her lifelong love of 35 years, Donnie Adkins; children, Kelly Hensley of Athens, OH, Ashley (Brad) Taliaferro of Proctorville, OH, and Nick Adkins of Huntington, WV; grandchildren, Jonah Hensley, Madison Robinson, Isabella Taliaferro, Crew Taliaferro, and Tripp Taliaferro; great-grandchildren, Opal and Onyx Hensley, and sisters, Susie Pratt and Sally Fetter. A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held privately by her family at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com
