Mary Louise Johnson's Obituary
Mary Louise Johnson, 85, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Born on May 23, 1938, in Scottown, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Forrest Clyne and Sarah Evelyn Corn Bricker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tice Elkins Johnson, and brothers, John and Paul Bricker. Mary was retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She was a member of 5th Street Church of Christ in Huntington, which she truly loved. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Janet Bricker; nephew, John Eric Bricker; niece, Julie (Jeremy) Brammer; 2 great-nephews, Johnathan and Jayce; 2 stepchildren, Robert T. Johnson and Karen (Don) Jacks; 4 grandchildren, Lori (Nathan) Sanders, Nora (Greg) McCleese, Donald R. (Glenda) Jacks Jr., and Ryan T. Johnson; 9 great-grandchildren, Charles (Kayla) Sanders, Tara (Stephen) McClure, Ian (Amber) McCleese, Emily (Austin) Oldaker, Maggie (Tobey) Smathers, Samuel McCleese, Trinity Jacks, Xander Jacks and Ian Tice Johnson; great-great-grandchildren, Paisley, Whitley, Savannah, River, and one on the way, Miley, and all of Mary's church family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, with Elder Bob Hayes, Elder Terry Hancock, and Elder David Smith, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Rome Cemetery in Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
