Mary Elizabeth Snavely's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Snavely, 81, of Proctorville, OH passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Braley Care Homes in Hurricane, WV. Mary Beth was born January 12, 1943, in Huntington, WV to the late Clay and Marjorie Jessie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles Edward Snavely.She is survived by her three children, John Snavely, daughter-in-law Sandy Snavely of Union, KY., Andy Snavely of Dallas, TX and Susan Lawson of Proctorville, OH; two granddaughters Cassidy Scala (Nick) of Columbus, OH and Victoria Snavely of Union, KY; two great grandchildren Lula and Luca Scala of Columbus, OH; Uncle Clint Chapman and Aunt Marcy Chapman of Sarasota, FL; sister-in-law Martha Ann Reagan and brother-in-law James Reagan of Huntsville, Al; nieces Denise Reagan Merritt (TJ) of Oakland, CA., Dianne Chapman of Sarasota, FL., and Elizabeth Sniegocki of Sarasota, FL.Mary Beth was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, Proctorville, OH, PEO Chapter M and The Woman's Club of Huntington, WV. Family and friends will miss her wit, infectious laugh, lemon meringue pie and being the perfect hostess for holidays and celebrations.A special thank you to the nurses and staff of Braley Care Homes and Kanawha Hospice Care for their care and compassion as she transitioned to be reunited in heaven with her husband.Memorial service to honor the lives of Mary Beth and Ed will be held at a later date.
