Mary Ruth Stephenson, 55, of Huntington, WV, passed away on June 11, 2026, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, WV. Born on July 25, 1970, in Huntington, she was the daughter of the late Charles Burks and Nellie Spurlock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Stephenson and one son, Shane Allen. Mary is survived by her daughters, Jessica Hager and Tina (Saxton) Hughes; seven grandchildren, Autumn Hager, Madison Hughes, Braxton Hughes, Bryson Hughes, Hunter Marshall, Allison Hughes, and Alexandria Layman; brother, Charles Burks Jr.; sister, Cecilia (Darrell) Hite and several nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements.
