Mary Katherine Tennison's Obituary
Mary K. “Kathy” Tennison, 66, of Huntington, WV passed away Friday December 21, 2018 at Genesis Healthcare, Huntington, WV. Kathy was born July 16, 1952 daughter of the late Don Henry Nichols and Mary E. Workman Nichols. She was also preceded in death by a brother Charles Franklin Nichols. Kathy lived most of her life in Lawrence County except for the years she spent in California, where she loved riding horses and visiting the beach. She was a former employee of Dirt Busters of Barboursville, WV. Kathy is survived by a daughter Tiffany Renae Sims of Ashland, KY; three sisters Donna G. (Charlie) Fugett of Ironton, Ohio and Deborah A. Melrose, and Jennifer A. Shivley of Huntington, WV; several grandchildren; nieces, and nephews; and a special aunt Linda K. Workman of Proctorville. The family wishes to thank all the care-givers on the third floor of Heritage, now Genesis Healthcare, for all the great care Kathy received while living there, especially a special nurse Marybeth. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday December 23, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Dallas Moore and Pastor Marc Price. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday December 23, 2018 at the funeral home.
