Mavis Eileen Gould's Obituary
Mavis “Eileen” Gould, 67, of Wilson, NC formerly of Huntington, WV gained her Angel wings on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC. She was born May 25, 1952 in Braxton County, WV daughter of the late Robert and Ethel Nottingham Hood. She was a precious wife of 51 years to Arnold, Sr and a homemaker. In addition to the love of her life, she leaves behind her children and grandchildren. She was a sweet mom to Arnold, Jr., James and Mary, and Beneda and Bryan. She was a loving granny to Chad, William, Corey, Cole, Ryan and Bradley. She was big sister to Myrtle Cobern of Proctorville, Ohio; and Aunt “Enee” to Darrick and Sam, and Justin and Ashley. She also has many several nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly surviving her. She was a special bonus mamaw to Mollie (Tyler), Jessicca, Hannah, Leia, and Levi. Eileen was mommy and granny to many more that fell in love with her, her children’s friends called her Mama which she loved. Eileen was a very special person, she was precious, sweet, loving, patient, compassionate, big hearted, forgiving, gentle, graceful, helpful, kind, honorable, nurturing, strong, honest, thoughtful and understanding. Everyone that knew her loved her and she will be dearly missed. The family extends a special thank you to Betty Smith, Jerry and Alannia Mayes, Mollie and Tyler McDaniels and Jack Black. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2019 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Al Black and Tom Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in Smith-Mayes Family Cemetery, Glenwood, WV. Visitation will be held 12 to 2 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2019 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.
