Mrs Melanie Dawn Adkins' Obituary
Melanie Dawn Adkins, 63, of South Point, Ohio, passed away on Thursday May 15, 2025, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. She was born to the late Mary Arthur and Buddy Hutchinson on November 18, 1961. She was also preceded in death by her son Mark Anthony Adkins, two sisters Theresa Marie Doss and Terry Lee Ponton, and nephew Douglas Lee Skaggs. She is survived by her loving husband Mark Adkins, children Tamara (Caleb) Brown of South Point, Ohio, Misty (Scott) Niles of Atlanta, Georgia, Chasity (Quallace) Bell of Huntington, West Virginia, and Elizabeth Adkins of South Point, Ohio; grandchildren Tyler, Markus, Kalub, Brynleigh, DeAndre, Elijah, Jayceon, and Paislee; siblings, Karen Skaggs of Cleveland, Ohio, Lynn Doss of Ronceverte, West Virginia, Jamie Ponton of Huntington, West Virginia, and Kim Hutchinson of South Point, Ohio, brother-in-law Mike Adkins of Huntington, West Virginia, sisters-in-law Jennifer Sheffield of Huntington, West Virginia, and Whitney Blanton of Ashland, Kentucky; special lifelong friends Tammy Graham and Cricket Cole, special grand dog Molly and her dog Oreo, along with several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Monday May 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with the visitation starting one hour prior, 10:00-11:00 AM, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, Ohio.
