Melissa L. Adkins' Obituary
Melissa Adkins, 84, of Scottown, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia. She was born on August 8th, 1941, to the late Lewis Walton Chapman and Ivy Maude Adkins. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by two sons, Roy Wayburn Adkins and Johnny Ray Adkins, and granddaughter Shellie Adkins. She is survived by her husband, Roy Adkins,Scottown, Ohio; a son Donovan (Christina) Adkins, Scottown, Ohio and a daughter-in-law, Marsha Adkins, Cleveland, Georgia and brother Gary Chapman, Harts, West Virginia; grandchildren: Johnathon Adkins, Cleveland, Georgia, Jacob Adkins, Catlettsburg, Kentucky, and Erin Adkins, Scottown, Ohio; two-great-grandchildren, Shaylynn Adkins and Jaden Adkins, Cleveland, Georgia. A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, November 21, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow at Trinity Baptist Cemetery in Wilgus, OH.
