Merrill Huff's Obituary
MERRILL HUFF, 79, of Huntington, WV, died Monday, March 24, 2014, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Graveside services will be 12 Noon Friday, March 28, 2014, at Union Hill Cemetery, Chesapeake, OH. Burial will follow. Merrill was born September 23, 1934, in Ironton, OH. He was a self-employed contractor. Merrill was preceded in death by his mother, Fonnie Ward; his father, Herb Parsons; his wife, Irene Stevens Huff; his daughter, Darlene Huff; and four brothers, Sam Huff, Jr., Ray Huff, Junior Parsons, and Darrell Parsons. He is survived by his son, Orville H. Williams; his daughters, Marlene Huff and Brenda Huff; four grandchildren, Danny Jeffers, Chris Jeffers, Dezerae Zeysing, and Sarah Faircloth; seven great grandchildren, Kierstin Custer, Christian Dewees, Dominik Jeffers, Jaydin Jeffers, Maggie Zeysing, Ian Jeffers, and Kaydence Faircloth; and his sister, Katherine "Kitty" McQuaid. At Merrill's request, there will be no public visitation. Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH, is handling the arrangements.
