Michael James Merritt's Obituary
Michael James Merritt, 67, of Kitts Hill, OH passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Community Hospice House in Ashland, KY. He was born on February 23, 1956, to the late James and Marjorie Fuller Merritt in Winchester, Indiana. Michael is also preceded in death by two brothers, Tim Merritt and Rodney Merritt and a son, Zachariah Merritt.Michael is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandra Ackerson Merritt; their three children, Tara Morrison and her husband, Josh, Hannah Merritt (Danny Houston) and Elijah Merritt. He also leaves behind a granddaughter, Abby Morrison and two sisters, Becky Truman and Tina Leis; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends as well as special cousins, Dave and Kathy Acton.Michael was a US Marine Veteran and a member of the Mercies Cross Ministries of Ironton, OH.A visitation will take place from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake, OH.
