Michael Allen Radcliff's Obituary
On June 7, 2025, Michael Allen Radcliff, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by loved ones. Michael was a devoted husband to Janet Sue Radcliff (Bailey) for almost 53 years, and a loving father to two children, as well as a proud grandfather to four grandchildren.
Michael was born on April 13, 1952, in Huntington, West Virginia, to Irma Jean Radcliff (Burns) and Gerald Allen Radcliff. Michael was the oldest of three sons, including, Mark Steven Radcliff and David Lee Radcliff. He retired from Inco Alloys, where he was a dedicated employee for almost 36 years. Michael was a resident of Proctorville, Ohio, and a member of the Guyan Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Scottown, Ohio. Michael also served as a deacon at his prior church, Lighthouse Baptist Church in Hurricane, West Virginia, for several years. He loved fishing, researching family history, woodworking, being outdoors, but most of all, he loved to be with family.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Allen Radcliff. Michael is survived by his mother, Irma Jean Radcliff; two brothers, Mark Allen Radcliff (Candace Radcliff), and David Lee Radcliff (Joyce Radcliff); his wife, Janet Sue Radcliff; his children, Michael Sean Radcliff (Michelle Radcliff) and Ashley Nicole Brewer (David Brewer), and four grandchildren, Emily Hunter Radcliff, Kathryn Elizabeth Jackson, Ella Morgan Radcliff, and Jacob Michael Radcliff.
Michael’s church family was important to him, so a public service will be held on June 21, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Guyan Valley Missionary Baptist Church, located at 268 OH-218, Scottown, Ohio 45678, with Pastor Jason Morris, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, in Wilmington, North Carolina, which is the hospice house Michael spent his last days before he went to rest in the arms of Jesus.
