Michalle Oldaker's Obituary
Ara Michalle Arthur Oldaker, 54, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away January 3, 2022, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born in Huntington, West Virginia, on September 14, 1967, the daughter of Tommie Sue Templeton and Paul Ernest Arthur. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas Roscoe and Carolyn June Hopson Templeton, and Hiram Carl Arthur.
Michalle was a graduate of Huntington East High School Class of 1985, Marshall University Class of 1991, and furthered her education at Ohio University. She was an educator for the Chesapeake School District and Collins Career Technical Center. In addition, she was a member of Cross Community Church (C3) of South Point, Ohio; The Woman's Club of Huntington where she served as an officer; Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority at Marshall University; volunteer for Hometown Love of Chesapeake, Ohio; and volunteer for Suzy's Helping Hands at Chesapeake Middle School. Michalle had a caring heart and volunteered with many organizations. When there was a need, Michalle was there. Her true passion was helping children in need.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles "Chuck" Frederick Oldaker, Jr; her grandmother, Mona Belle Arthur; her mother, Tommie Sue Templeton; her father and stepmother, Paul Ernest Arthur and Erma Elene McCallister Arthur; her sister, Susan Glenn Arthur; her brother, Thomas Richard (T.R.) Hannan; her cherished children, Thomas Ryan Ashworth and his wife, Krisa Bailie Ashworth, Blake Michael Ashworth, Austin Christian Oldaker and his wife, Emily Ann Oldaker, Tristin Reed Oldaker, and Braxton Edward Oldaker; her beloved niece, Jordan Carly Storms; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her favored son, her Goldendoodle, Maverick Michael Oldaker.
Michalle touched so many lives and she made us all better people for having had the opportunity to be in her presence. She will be dearly missed by her family, her entire community, and the world she touched. The family would like to express their appreciation for the staff of Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for the loving care that she received. In celebration of her life, Pastor Trent Carpenter will conduct a service at 2:30 pm on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Hall's Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Getaway Cemetery, Chesapeake, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 pm Saturday prior to the service. Pallbearers are T.R. Hannan, Ryan Ashworth, Blake Ashworth, Austin Oldaker, Tristin Oldaker, and Braxton Oldaker. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marshall University Foundation, Michalle Arthur Oldaker Fund in the memo area, 519 John Marshall Drive, Huntington, West Virginia 25703.
