Mildred "June" Damron, 82, of South Point, OH passed away Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Community Hospice Care Center of Ashland KY.June was born December 13, 1941, the daughter of the late Joseph Ellison and Naomi Elizabeth Wheeler.She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Damron; sister; Kay Chacos, Ann Brown, Phyllis Snider; and a brother Robert Wheeler.June is survived by her children Anna Leigh Ross, Kevin (Jane) Damron, and Lisa (Randy) Brown. Her grandchildren; Justin (Keesha) Hamm, Joshua (Shayna) Hamm, Alissa (Josh) Browning, Jessica Malone, and Cindy Whitman. Great grandchildren; Braelynn Browning, Aria Hamm, Nolan Malone, Dani Hamm, Emberlynn Browning, Taylynn Hamm, Dash Hamm, Rebekah Whitman, Joseph O'Neal Jr., Ashton O'Neal, and Daisy Whitman. Also, one brother Richard Wheeler, a sister Colletta Rose and a brother-in-law Ernie (Arlene) Damron and Stanley Snider, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.June was a retired hairdresser and member of the Sheridan Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed her time volunteering at the VA and spending time with friends and family. She will be missed by many. Hall Funeral and Crematory of Proctorville, OH assisted the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
