Mildred Lois Mullins' Obituary
MILDRED LOIS MULLINS, 88, of Chesapeake, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 16, 2013, in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Galloway officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Lois was born October 14, 1924, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Hudson W. and Thelma L. Thornton Jeffers. She was a homemaker and a member of Rockwood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil C. Mullins whom she married on November 6, 1944, in Ironton, OH, by Rev. W. Newton Mantle; her daughter Nancy Sue Mullins Whitley whom she gave birth to on February 10, 1947; her two brothers, Thomas and Jerry Jeffers; and her two sisters, Patricia Jeffers Peselnick and June Jeffers Hayes. Lois is survived by her grandson, Gary Whitley, Jr., and his wife, Karen; her two great grandsons, Andrew and Owen Whitley; her brother, Pete Jeffers and his wife, Linda; her two sisters, Mary Kennedy and Sharon Dexter and her husband, Larry; and her two sisters-in-law, Margaret Jeffers and Sharon Jeffers. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Judy Blankenship, Margaret Jeffers, Brenda Jeffrey, River's Bend Health Care, and Hospice of Huntington for their care, compassion, and guidance.
