Montie Richard Jenkins' Obituary
Montie Richard Jenkins, 86, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on December 5, 2025, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Born on December 9, 1938, in Huntington, WV, he was the son of the late Paul and Garnet Holley Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Jenkins and sister, Helen Meadows. Montie owned Bargainland Used Cars for 30 years and was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Proctorville. He loved to fly his ultralight, ride his motorcycle, go to the markets, and work in his garden. He loved his children and giving to the needy. Montie is survived by his wife, Linda G. Moore Jenkins; children, Richard Jenkins Jr. and his wife, Becky, Cheryl Burgess and Bruce, and Sharon Jenkins; grandchildren, Brittany Lenex and Jimmy, Jeremy Jenkins and Kalie, Jerad Burgess, Taylor Burgess, Madison Burgess, Logan Chapman, and Chayce Chapman; great-grandchildren, Briahna, Kylen, Layton, Lucas, Wren, Emma, A.J., Cora, Kyrie, Kailyn, Jordan, and Aiden; sister, Jo Withers, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, with Pastor Jeff Black, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 10:00 A.M. Mausoleum Entombment will follow at Forest Memorial Park in Milton, WV.
