Myrta Mae Callicoat's Obituary
Myrta Mae Callicoat, age 93, passed away peacefully at home on December 2.Myrta was born on June 13, 1929, in Chesapeake, OH where she lived until she married L. W. (Dee) Callicoat in 1960 when they moved to Proctorville, OH to raise their family. Over the years, Myrta enjoyed playing golf, ceramics, sewing and gardening. She retired from Marshall University in 1990. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Proctorville. Myrta was preceded in death by her husband, L. W. (Dee) Callicoat. She is survived by her daughter, Dena Laton and her husband Jim of Proctorville, OH, her son, Darrin Callicoat and his wife Lalaina of West Union, SC. She is survived by her greatest joy in life, her granddaughter Grayson Laton Coppage and son-in-law Danial. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Bonecutter and his wife Isabelle and her sister, Janet Bricker of Chesapeake, OH. The family would like to thank the nurses and aids from Hospice for their dedication and unfailing support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to support Hospice of Huntington,A private service will be held at a later date. Condolences can be expressed at ehallfuneralhome.com
