Nancy Ann Lawhon, 84, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on June 5, 2026, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Born on May 16, 1942, in Huntington, she was the daughter of the late Melvin C. and Dora Elizabeth Chapman Bates. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 infant children; son, Charles Melvin Lawhon, Sr.; grandson, Charles Melvin Lawhon. Jr., and 2 brothers. Nancy was a retired nurse from Cabell Huntington Hospital and worked for A&L Home Care. She loved being a nurse and showing compassion to others. She is survived by her daughter, Kristen (Bruce) Rose of Milton, WV; grandchildren, Melissa (Greg), Kira, and Airianna, and 3 great-grandchildren and Terika, whom she thought of as one of her own. A Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH.
