Naomi Jean Chapman's Obituary
Naomi Jean Chapman 1931 - 2017 Naomi Jean Chapman, 85, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. She was born September 18, 1931 in Marlinton, WV daughter of the late Cecil and Blanche Waugh Carr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude P. Chapman and eight siblings. She attended Rome Presbyterian Church. She was a 1952 graduate of Marshall University and later received a masters degree from Marshall University. She was employed by Cabell County Schools for 38 years as a teacher at Huntington East High School and librarian at Enslow Junior High School. She is survived by one daughter Teresa Lynn Chapman of Proctorville, Ohio, and one son Steven Parker Chapman of East Lynn, WV. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV with Pastor Peter Barclay officiating. Entombment will follow. The family will receive friends 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio.
