Hey dad. Even though you adopted me and I wasn't your biological daughter, you made an impact on me that shaped the person I am today. You taught me about honesty, integrity, bravery, and you taught me to have a backbone. You were so inspiring to me and I've gotten through a lot since your passing that I don't think I would have been able to survive if not for your wisdom and advice. You were there for me more than anybody else was when you were around. You were somebody I could rely on, who I knew I could be honest with. I knew you would always be there for me with and open mind and an open heart, no matter how bad I messed up. You were exactly what I needed as a kid. You were my dad. I will miss you always. I would give anything to have one last conversation with you. I'm so glad I gave you a hug last time I saw you. I wish I was there more. Love you, dad. Thank <3 (and he would say, "welc!")
