O. JEAN CHRISTIAN, 71, of Kenova, WV, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, May 17, 2013, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, WV. Jean was born July 9, 1941, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Carl L. and Lillie Mae Howard Tackett. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant children, Roger and Deborah Christian; and three siblings, Carl "Sonny" and Jimmy Tackett, and Rose Chapman. Jean is survived by five children, Rick (Gayle) Christian, Peggy Christian, Anita Johnson, Everett Lee Christian, Jr., and Susan Ann (Carl) Johnson; 10 grandchildren, Anthony, Katie, Angela, Kayla, Jared, Jasmine, Renee, Erick, Michelle, and Bradley; six great grandchildren, Hannah, Claressa, Natalie, Kaleb, Rylan, and Lilly; six siblings, Beverly, Laura, Sharon, Sandy, Patty, and Ray; a special aunt and best friend, Mary Christian; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.schneidergriffin.com.
