My deepest condolences to the friends & family for your loss. Our Heavenly Father gives us a comforting thought when He tells us that soon death will be "swallowed up forever." (1 Cor. 15:54) Yes, the Bible promises a time in the near future when "mourning...and DEATH will be NO MORE." (Revelation 21:4) The earth will become a paradise and ALL our loved ones will be resurrected to enjoy eternal life! Please take comfort in these promises as your family will be in my prayers during this very difficult time.
