Oliver Petty's Obituary
Oliver Christian Petty, 58, of South Point, Ohio, passed away Friday October 20, 2017 in Ashland Community Hospice Care Center. Oliver was born June 4, 1959 in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Harold and Mary Elliott Petty. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Cheryle Petty; and two brothers, Andrew Petty and Harold "Kenny" Petty Jr. Oliver is survived by one son, Nathan (Melissa) Petty of Ironton, OH; one daughter, Allisa Petty of South Point, OH; four brothers, Claude Petty of South Point, OH, Chester Petty of Scottown, OH, Thomas Petty of South Point, OH, and Chuck Petty of South Point, OH; seven sisters, Wilma Campbell of Byesville, OH, Wanda Estep of South Point, OH, Alberta Groves of South Point, OH, Martha Gray of Kingsport, TN, Mary Bennett of Amsterdam, OH, Neoma Petty of Byesville, OH, and Paula Mullins of Ironton, OH; and several nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 5 P.M. Tuesday October 24 ,2017 at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home, 313 Big Branch Road, Chesapeake, Ohio by Pastor Petty. Visitation will be 3 to 5 PM. on Tuesday at the Schneider-Hall Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Funeral Home.
