Omar “Peanut” Pennington Jr, 70, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. He was born on January 21, 1955, in Huntington, WV, to the late Omar Maxwell Pennington Sr. and Viola Ruth Simmons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Raye Patterson; sisters, Kathy Steel, and Sandy Sites; and his ex wife, Lisa Pennington. Omar is survived by his 4 daughters, Reba (Alex) Gibbs, Felicia (Barney) Douberley, Eldonna (Brian) Pennington, and Viola Pennington; many grandchildren; brother, Donald Pennington; sisters, Mary Arthur and Sue Steel; close friend, Pam Young, and several nieces and nephews. He loved and cherished all his family. He was a preacher who dedicated his life to the Lord. No services will be held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
