Orman Elwood Swann's Obituary
Orman Elwood, Swann, 91, of South Point, Ohio passed away Saturday June 20, 2026 at home. He was born March 11, 1935 in Huntington, WV to the late Howard Everett and Clara Agnes Legg Swann. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by eight siblings. He retired from The Wayne County News and was a former employee of CAO. He was a retired United States Army veteran serving in the 101st airborne division. He was a member of Tri-State Baptist Temple and a member of Proctorville VFW Post #6878. He is survived by his wife Barbara Swann; one daughter Angie (Randy) Ray of Chesapeake, Ohio; two sons Mark (Sara) Swann of South Point, Ohio and Eric (Emma) Swann Ashland, KY; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one great- great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 12 noon Wednesday 24,2026 at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home Chesapeake, Ohio. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio.
