Oscar Rigney Jr.'s Obituary
Oscar Rigney Jr., 90, of Chesapeake, OH, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Cornerstone Hospital in Huntington, WV. Born on October 23, 1935, in Proctorville, OH, he was the son of the late Oscar and Ernestine Dunfee Rigney Sr.; his wife, Lucille Rigney; brother, Paul Rigney; sisters, Inez Hall, Mary Jo Rigney, Alberta Osborne, Zelpha Rigney, and nephew, Nick Rigney. Oscar was a Navy Veteran and retired owner of BLR Construction. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Kerry) Steinbrecher of TN; stepsons, Billy (Nancy) Chatterton of FL, and Pat (Tammy) Ward of TX; grandchildren, Scott (Sloane) Steinbrecher of TN and Ashli (Luke) Rose of TN; great-grandchildren, Lillian Rose, Brooklyn Rose, Brayden Rose, Brynlen Steinbrecher, and Clayton Steinbrecher. Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH, with Pastor Tom Jones officiating. There will be no visitation held.
