It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pamela Lou Dickens-Rush.Pamela was born May 8, 1955 in Van, WV. After graduating with high honors from Scott High School class of 1973, Pam earned her undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and her graduate degree from Marshall University.A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend-Pamela's brilliant mind, unbreakable spirit, and unconditional love touched the lives of all who knew her. In both the career and family spheres, Pam led with her characteristic style of compassion, steadfast strength, and integrity.Pamela leaves behind her beloved husband Edgar, whose love and partnership were the cornerstone of her life for more than 50 years.Pamela spent her days reading, gardening, spending time with her family, napping on long drives in the country, and watching hallmark movies.Per Pamela's wishes, no public services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help cover final expenses.There will be an echoing absence in the lives of her family, cherished friends, and relatives, but Pamela's indomitable spirit will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.Pam was preceded in death by her mother Betty Jane Boggs, father Walter Dickens, brother Walter Dickens Jr., sister Tamara Dickens, and daughter Devon Rush.Pam is survived by her sister Carolyn Dickens, husband Edgar Rush, daughters Tarlie Robinson, Ashley Rush, and Pierson Rush and her grandchildren: Anthony, Kelley, Marcellus, Samuel, and Brooklyn.
