Patricia Ann Norris' Obituary
Patricia Ann Ripley Norris, 94, of Rome, Ohio passed away at home on July 4th 2024. She was born August 28, 1929. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years James Jr. Norris, her parents, Norine Blair Ripley and Lloyd Ripley, her sister, Merry Ernest, brother, Eugene Ripley and son, Robert Lee Norris.She is survived by two loving daughters Vickie James (Dennis) of South Point, Ohio and Connie Bjornson (Larry) of Huntington, WV. She is known as "Grandy" to four grandchildren; Dr. Shannon James of Indianapolis, IN., Crista Bjornson of Nashville, TN., Brock James of South Point, OH., and Erik Bjornson (Kelsea) of Holly Springs, NC., and two great grandchildren, Beau and Eloise Bjornson of Holly Springs, NC.Patricia started her career at Triangular Conduit in Glen Dale, WV. before getting married and settling down in Moundsville, WV. She was active in her community as an assistant Girl Scout Leader and Treasurer for many years with the Maxwell Acres Women's Club. She was very involved with the Moundsville United Methodist Church and Later with the New Hope Methodist in Proctorville, OH. She retired as a bookkeeper for the Marshall County Public Library.Patricia loved to read, garden and be with her family. All her friends and family knew what a great sense of humor and sharp wit she had and how much she enjoyed being around her family and friends.The family would also like to express their appreciation and thanks to her special caregivers, Angie and Pattie for all the loving care that was given to her.The funeral ceremony for Patricia will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 12 PM at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service from 11 AM to 12 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rome Cemetery in Proctorville, OH.
