Patricia (Patty) Lou Thacker's Obituary
Patricia (Patty) Eaton Thacker, age 85, passed away on January 15th, 2022 in Gainesville,
Florida at UF Shands Hospital. She was born in Proctorville, Ohio, and moved to Wildwood, Florida in 1978. She graduated from Fairland High School and received her B.A. and M.A. from Marshall University. She went on to teach business education in Ohio for a total of 18 years (15 at Hannah Trace, 2 at North Gallia, & 1 at Frankfort, Ohio). Patricia was a secretary for over 30
years for New York Life Insurance Agent. She was an organist at Proctorville Methodist Church
and Adamsville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and
Blanche Stephenson Eaton; a very special Great Grandfather Capt Ellis C. Mace; her husband
Foster Thacker; and his daughter Paulette King. She is survived by Her brother Don Eaton; Daughter Lisa Joy Carstetter; Grandchildren Matthew & Christina Mahan, Mary & Martin Carstetter, Jessica & Chad Hodge, and Tommy & Payton Carstetter; Great Grandchildren
Arissa Romero & Kaitlyn Mihalic, Mason, Neven & Branson Mahan, Faith, Carver, & Cassidy Hodge, Carson, Farren, & Nonnie-Ann Carstetter. Funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will be held at Miller Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Proctorville United Methodist Church.
