Patricia Ann "Patty" Lawson's Obituary
Patricia Ann “Patty" Lawson, 82, of Scottown, Ohio, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. Patty was born November 17, 1936 to Charles and Amy (Knight) Turner in Huntington and had been an area resident most of her life. In addition to her parents and step-father, Ross Hensley, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Lawson. Along with her husband, H. Kenneth, and their son, Ken A. Lawson, Patty helped build and grow Precision Alloys Company, where she worked for 45 years. Patty was the happiest when surrounded by flowers, animals and her family. She loved spending time in Fort Myers Beach, Florida with a book as well as opening her home and heart to those who crossed her path. Her spunk, laughter and kindness will be remembered and treasured by those who knew her. Patty is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, who she met when she was only 16; children Catherine Lawson and Ken A. Lawson; grandchildren Amory Wilson, Megan (Jeremy) Grizzle and Cassidy (Nicholas) Scala – who lovingly knew Patty as “Gaummy;” great-grandchildren Tristan Wilson, Taylar Wilson, Harper Grizzle and Jack Grizzle; niece Kelly (Mark) Sickle and nephew Fred (Andrea) Turner. The family is also grateful for all family and close friends who made Patty feel loved throughout the years. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 1 to 2 PM at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory (625 County Road 775, Proctorville, Ohio). Funeral service will follow at 2 PM.
