Paula Jean Fitzpatrick Morris' Obituary
Paula Jean Fitzpatrick-Morris, 63, of South Point, OH, passed away on April 10, 2026.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Paul David and Clara Jean Fitzpatrick; her sister, Tammie Mae Fitzpatrick; her beloved Granny, Hattie Lou Elmore; her basset hound, Baby Boy; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Paula was a retired cosmetologist who served and adored her many loyal clients for over 30 years. Many became like family.
Paula was a fiery redhead who loved her family more than anything and was a fierce protector of those she loved. She advocated for what she believed in.
Paula had one true love: the racetrack. She grew up the daughter of a racer, became the sister of a racer, and was the proudest aunt of a racer. The dirt track was her peace. You could find her at a local track or wherever the 14 car raced each week.
Paula was small in size but big in heart (and sometimes in temper). You never had to wonder where you stood with her or question her dependability—she was always there for those she loved. Always. She showed up.
Paula was fearless and outspoken, independent, funny, and a caretaker. One of her favorite sayings was, “Watch me.”
Her favorite role in life was being “Granny” to her grandchildren. She truly lived up to the name. Blood or not, they were all hers.
Paula leaves behind many loved ones: her daughter, Jamie Louden (Kevin); her son, Charlie Morris (Kayla); her partner of many years, Gary Estep Sr.; her brothers, Paul David “Davey” Fitzpatrick II (Jessie) and Kevin Michael “Kirby” Fitzpatrick (Lisa); her favorite nephew, Charles Robert “Robbi” Johnson II (Candace), whom she loved as her own; her niece, Macie Frye; her nephew, Brayden Fitzpatrick; and her great-nieces, Kylah Blue and Remington Johnson.
Her pride and joy were those who lovingly called her Granny: Ivy Louden, Mason Louden, Gary Estep III, Alisa Flora, and Colton Estep.
Paula also leaves behind extended family, including John Fitzpatrick (Barb), Robin Dickess, Dean Gully, Lisa Moore, Lamech “Mickey” Elmore (Cherie), James “Jimmy” Elmore (Laura), Rachel Miller, Lisa Estep, and Gary Estep Jr. (Kimmie); her two dogs, Bear and Lincoln; her cat, Oliver; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time.
