Pauline Butcher McGinnis 1938 - 2016
Pauline “Polly” Butcher McGinnis, 78, of South Point, Ohio, rested this life on Friday November 4, 2016 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. She was born February 7, 1938 in Lawrence County, Ohio, daughter of the late Mart and Stella Lundy Butcher. She was a former employee of WSAZ and First Federal Savings and Loan. By faith she was a lifelong Apostolic and attended The Apostolic Life Cathedral Church. During her life time she suffered the loss of four brothers, L.M. “Bill”, Harvey, Ross, and J.O. “Top” Butcher; and six sisters Agnes Gillette, Faye Rucker, Gertrude Gillette, Beulah Jenkins, Julia Gillette, and Mary Evans. She is held in loving memory by one son Saun (Kelly) Floyd; two daughters Paula Fuller and Deven McGinnis; seven grandchildren Bethany and Shane Fuller, Nate Floyd, Katie Petrie, Zach Barrett, Lora Wells, and Olivia Hastings; five great grandchildren Stella, Ruby, Maggie, Molly, and Nicholas; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; and a special caregiver Princess Curtis. The family wishes to thank the transport crew of Patriot Emergency Services, the staff of Heartland of Riverview, Cabell Huntington Hospital, and Hall Funeral Home for their outstanding and professional care. The family also would like to thank “The Lady” Ruth Kitchen for her caring spirit and tireless support. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday November 8, 2016 at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday November 7, 2016 at Apostolic Life Cathedral Church, Huntington, WV followed by a service at 7 p.m. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hall Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
