Perry Hamilton Carpenter's Obituary
Perry Hamilton Carpenter, 92, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Perry was born March 3, 1930 in Lawrence County, OH, a son of Roscoe and Pearl Elliott Carpenter. Perry was a loving husband to Glenna Coleen Smith Justice Carpenter and a cherished father to Gary Scott Carpenter (Tammy), Diana Carpenter Cornwell (Dwayne), step children Julia Justice Chaney (Ron), Herman Ted Justice (Ruth). Perry loved flea marketing and spending time with his family including his grandchildren Eann Cornwell, Blayne Cornwell, Tanner Carpenter, Scott Carpenter, Beth Chaney Custer and Paul (Randy) Chaney, Kelsey Justice, Bradley Justice, Jennifer Justice Boggs and many great grandchildren. He told of many fond memories growing up with his brothers, Arrey and Bobby Carpenter and sister Ruth Carpenter Pruitt. His family is proud of his service to our country in the US Army during the Korean War. He will be missed by his many friends and family who are looking forward to seeing him in Heaven. There will be a funeral service held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Hall Funeral Home & Crematory in Proctorville, OH with Pastor Brian Root officiating. Burial will follow at Rome Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday December 21, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. also at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
