Philip C. Barnette's Obituary
Philip C. Barnette, 67, of South Point, Ohio entered Heaven on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. He was born August 17, 1952 in Springfield, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Ross Comer, his father Clyde Barnette and his stepfather Jim Comer. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Bryant Barnette; step mother Dottie Comer; two daughters, Jody Walker Newman and Jessica Barnette McKee; son-in-law Brent McKee; 12 grandchildren Alexandra Walker, Ashley Cornwell, Brittany Newman, Eli Newman, Jose, Joseph, Anthony, Gavin, Madelyn, Lucy, Mason, and Olivia McKee; two great grandchildren Mylah and Koda Cornwell; and many friends that he considered family. He retired from Labors Local #83 in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was an active member of First Baptist Church is Russell, KY and a supporter of Amy for Africa as well as other ministries. He was devoted to his family, to serving others and to studying the bible. A private family memorial service will be held.
