Phyllis Jean Cyrus' Obituary
Phyllis Jean Stone Cyrus, 87, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. She was born on July 20, 1935, in Huntington, WV, to the late Lionel and Gretta Akers Garten. She was preceded in death by her first husband George Dale Stone and her second husband Abe F. Cyrus; and eight siblings Lowell-Edwin Garten, Lloyd Scott Garten, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Brown, John David Garten, Robert Wendell Garten, Frances E. Myers, Terry L. Garten, and Lois A. Halverson. She is survived by two children Ricky Alan Stone (Late Arbutus Napier Stone) and Penny Lynn Stone Arthur (David); four grandchildren Brian C. Arthur (Jessica), Erica L. Stone, Andrea J. Stone, and Allison Stone Goheen (James); two great grandchildren Heather Abigail Arthur and Joshua Alexander Arthur; special niece Tracy Garten Hoover; special nephew Charles David Brown; sister Beverly Gartin of Huntington; and as plethora of nieces and nephews all over the country.
