Phyllis Jean Lafon's Obituary
Phyllis Jean Lafon, 89. of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Tuesday March 4, 2025, at Cabell Huntington Hospital Huntington, WV. She was born on September 12, 1935, in Chesapeake, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Clovis and Blanch Murdock. In addition to the parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands George White and Earl Lafon; one brother Charles Murdock and two infant brothers. She is survived by one son Thomas White of Chesapeake, Ohio; one brother Gary (Shirley) Murdock; two nephews Mark Murdock and Timothy Murdock; one niece Charlene Barns and several cousins. She was a lifetime member of the Greasy Ridge Church of Christ Chesapeake, Ohio. Phyllis sold Avon cosmetics for many years. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday March 7, 2025 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Minister Barry Kelley Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery, Chesapeake, Ohio.
