Randall Lee Ryder 1937 - 2017
Randall Lee Ryder, 79, of Proctorville, Ohio, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center, Huntington, WV. He was born October 1, 1937 in Cabell County, WV son of the late Rudolph and Loris Ryder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Duane Ryder. He worked at Special Metals for 32 years and retired in 1993. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1955 to 1959. He is survived by his wife Barbara Ryder; his children Randall Ryder, Jr and his wife Vaunda; Tony Ryder; Chris Ryder; Bruce Ryder and his wife Angie; and Angie Nitardy and husband Skip; and grandchildren Josh Ryder, Natalie McGlone and her husband Shannon, Kristen Barry, Karen Rogers, Kayelin Ryder, Nicholas Ryder, Shelby Nitardy, Cameron Nitardy and Logan Ryder. He was avid golfer and he was a member of Sugarwood Golf Course for many years. He loved gardening and had a large vegetable garden in his backyard. One of his favorite things to do was the crossword puzzles in the newspaper while drinking McDonald’s coffee. He spent his last 15 years taking care of his disabled son that lived with him. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio.
