Raymundo Gonzales Sarabia's Obituary
In loving memory of Raymundo "Ray" Sarabia, who at the age of 77, departed this earth on August 9, 2024, in South Point, Ohio. Born on April 16, 1947, Ray honorably devoted 21 years to serving in the United States Army, courageously defending our nation's freedom. Upon his retirement from military service, he exercised his strong work ethic for an additional 17 years at a glass manufacturing facility, respected for his honesty and diligence.
An amazing family man, Ray brought great joy and laughter to those around him. He found his greatest happiness in the company of his family, especially his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who he cherished deeply and with whom he shared many treasured memories. His hobbies included spending time out on the golf course or a trip to the casino. Ray also enjoyed lending a helping hand or tinkering on projects with his family.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Christine Sarabia; his daughter, Cynthia Sarabia Galindo; his son, Dakota Sarabia, and his daughter-in-law, Haylee Sarabia. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren: Marina Galindo and her husband Sal Rincon Jr., Miranda Rodriquez and her husband Junior Rodriquez, Mia Galindo, Aliyiah Sarabia, Evan Sarabia, Kenzley Sarabia, Braylen Sarabia, Harlee Anderson, and Teddy Sarabia. He was also blessed with great-grandsons, Jeremiah Rincon and Jacob Galindo.
His life will be fondly remembered by his siblings, Roy Gonzales, Arturo Gonzales, Adela Venegas, and Ricardo Gutierrez, along with other beloved family members: Rhonda Childers; her husband, Jimmy Childers and their children; his brother-in-law, Greg Vaughn and his family; his niece, Sandy Bull; and his mother-in-law, Jean Cooke.
Preceding him in eternal rest are his siblings Juanita Chavez, Eulalio Chavez, Roman Gonzales, and David Gonzales, as well as his nephew Charles Vaughn.
A memorial service honoring Mr. Sarabia's life will be carried out with reverence at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville, OH, where family and friends may pay their respects Thursday August 15th from 5 to 7 PM. Hall Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Raymundo Sarabia's life, characterized by his steadfast patriotism, strong character, and a profound love for his family, will forever be etched in the memories of those who knew him. His presence will be greatly missed, yet his spirit will live on through the values he instilled and the affection he shared with his loved ones.
