Rev. David Dolen's Obituary
Rev. David Dolen, 76, of Lake City, Fl, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent's Hospital, Jacksonville, Fl. He was born on November 9, 1947, in Huntington, WV, to the late Basil and Mary Nida Dolen. He was also preceded in death by his son David Dolen Jr. and twelve siblings. He was a minister for 48 years. He pastored and assisted at numerous churches in the Tri-State Area and Jacksonville, Fl. He was a self-employed contractor for over 50 years. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Pamela Bowen Dolen; one daughter Melissa (David) Newman; three grandchildren Kami, Kaleb, and Kaleigh; two special that were loved as grandchildren Autumn and Jalen; two great grandchildren Kali and Kayn; one sister Ethel Burth; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, with Rev. Randy Jeffers and Rev. Bill Napier officiating. Burial will follow the service at Dolen Family Cemetery, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the funeral home.
