Rev. Windell D. Ely's Obituary
Rev. Windell D. Ely, 79, of Proctorville, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at home. He was born July 26, 1946, in Pennington Gap, VA, to the late Ralph and Ruby Ely. Windell was the owner of Ely Refrigeration. He was a Minister, Evangelist, and a wonderful musician and singer. He is survived by his wife Phyllis McMillion Ely; one daughter Tamara Fugate, and step children, Julie Stamper-Hazelett (Amy); and David Stamper Jr. (Teffany); three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers Macel Ely (Carol) and Luckie Ely (Sherrie); one sister Belinda Ely; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 6 P.M. Friday, July 10, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH. Dr. Macel Ely, Rev. Dennie Land, and Evangelist Ray Knapp are officiating the services. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 P.M. prior to the funeral service. Private family graveside will be held.
