Richard 'Ric' Lee Jefferson's Obituary
Richard "Ric" Lee Jefferson, 48, of Wheelersburg, OH passed from this life on Monday, September 7th at his residence. He was born September 19, 1971 in Huntington, WV. Ric was the son of John and Mary "Sandy" Armstrong of Chesapeake. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Jefferson; brother, Kody Armstrong; and niece, Taylor Jefferson. Survivors include Rics pride and joy, his daughters, Perri Morgan Jefferson and Amanda Paige Jefferson, both of Huntington; brother, Tony Adkins; sisters Shannon Moore of Chattanooga, TN, Tammy Lewis of South Point and Samantha Foskey (Allen Foskey) of Uvalda, GA; many loving aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews along with great-nieces and nephews; and special friend, Kathy Stone, of Wheelersburg. Ric graduated from Chesapeake High School and attended Marshall University before serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. With his outgoing personality and hard work, Ric enjoyed many occupations throughout his career including sales, telemarketing supervisor, restaurant supervisor, store manager and telemarketer, before an early retirement. He loved sports and was a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu, an avid fisherman, and golfer and a major Pittsburg Steelers fan. Ever the entertainer, he was known as Uncle "Magic" Ric for his skills in the arts of illusion, he sang lead in a barbershop chorus and the quartets, Chessie System and Raisin Cane, and demonstrated the art of grooming on his YouTube channel, RHINO SHAVES. In celebration of his life, his family invites guests to join them, on his 49th birthday, at 4:00pm on Saturday, September 19th at his childhood home located at 313 4th Avenue, Chesapeake, OH 45619. Please bring your own pole and your favorite stories of Ric and join in fishing at his favorite spot in the back yard on "Rics Creek." Lanterns will be floated at dusk in his honor.
