Richard Nicholas' Obituary
Richard "Dickie" Nicholas, Jr., 65, of Scottown, Ohio went home to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness of battling cancer on Tuesday October 26, 2021 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. He was born December 22, 1955 in Huntington, WV, son of the late Richard and Barbara A. Carter Nicholas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Wade Nicholas. He was a faithful member of Lucinda Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver. He is survived by one brother Denver Ray Nicholas of Proctorville, Ohio, along with an aunt and uncle, and several cousins, his church family, and a multitude of friends. Dickie loved all things outdoors. He grew up loving to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed growing his own garden and traveling out West. He was a very sweet and caring person and was known for his good sense of humor. He would want you to know that he loved the Lord Jesus as his Savior and that his eternal home is Heaven. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday October 30, 2021 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Rev. Dennis Young. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday October 30, 2021 at the funeral home.
