Richard Marshall Wise's Obituary
Richard Marshall Wise, 83, of Proctorville, Ohio was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2023. He was born June 3, 1939 in St. Albans, West Virginia. He is the son of the late Ralph A. Wise and Maida R. Montgomery. He was a United States Army veteran and served from 1958 to 1962. He was stationed in Germany and White Sands, New Mexico. He was employed with AEP and owned his own Electrical Engineering business before retiring. He was a long-standing member of First Baptist Church of Proctorville, Ohio. He was a loving and giving father, grandfather, husband and friend. He never met a stranger and would talk to you for hours about wars, airplanes and any other technology. He was always telling jokes and making everyone laugh. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alice M. Wise. His children, Ronald (Rick) Wise (Debra), Richard Wise Jr. (Carol), Janet McCormick, and Cathy Bornand (Andrew). His grandchildren, Kyle Wise (Catelyn), Erika Wise (Brandon Rodriguez), Anthony Wise (Verenice), Kathryn Evans (Jacob) Lea'Vanessa Wise, Mark'Anthony Wise, Matthew Wise (Samantha), Alice Wise, Chayton Nye, Christian Perry, Max Bornand and Jonah Bornand. His great-grandchildren, Baker Wise, Pratt Wise, Ozzie Wise and Miller Wise. He is also survived by his Uncle Max Oliver (95) who was best man at his wedding. There will be a graveside service held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Miller Memorial Gardens in Miller, OH. Hall Funeral Home & Crematory in Proctorville, OH is assisting the family with arrangements. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Proctorville VFW #6878.
