Robert "Bob" J. Cline's Obituary
Robert “Bob” J. Cline, 85, of Scottown, OH, formerly of West Portsmouth, OH, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born in Wheelersburg, OH, on June 20, 1941, to the late Robert Forrest and Evelyn Smith Cline. He was also preceded in death by his sister Diana Burchett of Grove City, OH.
He is survived by his significant other Cathy Brammer; son Robert W. Cline and his wife Martie Kepp Cline; daughters Cathy Cline Trujillo and her husband John Paul Trujillo and Tina Mullins and her husband Shawn Mullins; sister Rosemary Bowman; Patty Brown Cline who is the mother of his children; grandchildren Anna (Ben) Tobias and P.J. Trujillo and his wife Natalie Trujillo; step grandchildren A.J. and Carson Brammer, Caitlynn and James Johnson, and Cody Medley; several nieces and nephews; and best friends Kenny Coleman and Anthony and Amanda Brammer.
Bob started working at a grocery store as a carry out while in high school. He transferred to Schafers Food Market and was promoted to manager in Jackson, Ironton, and West Portsmouth, OH. He later worked in New Boston Steel Mill in Ohio and then moved to Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant as an electrician.
He was a firefighter and EMT with Washington Township. He was a member of Nauvoo #769 Masonic Lodge, Shriners El Hasa, Knights of Columbus, and Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH. Burial will follow at Rome Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home with Masonic Rites being held at 1:45 PM.
