I miss you so so much. I'm flooded with the memories me & you made together each & every day. No matter where I am the tears keep rolling down my face. I visit your gravesite 5 out of 7 days a week. I stand there & talk to you. The problem I have is trying to walk away because it makes me feel I'm leaving you behind.

I wish that I had been able and took the time, to have spent more time with you! As a teen ager I have fond memories of you and David, and my brother Carl, all in diapers playing in the mud. The the big white house on the corner of Numan and Ferguson Street. We who are left, all miss you! You were the sweetest, smartest, and as one of your former school mates pointed out. Not too hard on the eyes! Rest in peace Cuz, we all love and will always miss you!

Many know you as a well accomplished optometrist, and while that is more than true, I know you as the most caring and patient teacher. Through my life, you taught me SO much. About eyeballs, about people, about whatever fun fact was on your Snapple lid, but most of all, about life. And how to live a Godly one. You're the most patient, thoughtful, understanding person, and you brought peace into whatever room you walked in to. You're my role model. Thank you for the honor of being able to call you "Gramps." We'll see ya later Big G, and I. Can't. Wait. To the best grandfather a girl could ask for: I love you. <3
Doc was truly an honorable man who loved and lived with Christ in his heart. He always had a peaceful presence when I was around him. We will miss him very much.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Rob Brooks. He was a good optometrist and a wonderful Christian man. My prayers will be with his family and friends, God bless you Rob.
Doc was such a wonderful man of God. He loved his family and was always so positive and encouraging. He truly embodied what it means to be a servant and representative of Christ. Thank you, Doc, for your kindness toward me and my family! Not many people know this, but Doc was always my focal point in the congregation while playing drums at church because of where he sat. I could always gauge how well the praise and worship was going by seeing Doc's reaction. I missed you during the periods when you couldn't be there, but I always received a boost from you just simply walking into the sanctuary as we wrapped up practice. Rest easy, Doc.

I will miss Doc. He was my friend. He was always so kind, and such an encourager. He always amazed me by his strength and perseverance. I'm blessed to have known him, and to know that we will see each other again.
