Robert S Byrd's Obituary
ROBERT S. BYRD, 68, of South Point, OH, passed away Tuesday, December 02, 2014, in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday, December 5, 2014, at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery, Chesapeake, OH. Robert was born August 18, 1946, in Kimball, WV, a son of the late Othur and Queen Elkins Byrd. He was a retired showroom manager with West Virginia Electric Supply and a former salesman with Don Hall Chevrolet. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Annabel Green and Kathy Hogsten; and two brothers, Tommy and Dean Byrd. Robert is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Debbie Byrd; two grandchildren, Emily and Luke Byrd; eight siblings, Patti (Gene) Lay, Carol (Mack) Wright, Sandy Hill, Judy (Allan) Bevans, Regina (Dennis) Reed, Debbie (Jim) Brown, Thelma (Vernon) Arthur, and Ronald (Charlene) Byrd; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington.
