Robert Kent 'Robb' Crews' Obituary
Robert Kent "Robb" Crews , III is the eldest of five children born to Lolita and Robert K. Crews, Jr. He was born February 7, 1957 in Huntington, West Virginia. Known as Robb to his family and friends, he possessed exceptional skills as a body and fender technician as well as auto mechanic. In addition, he was a talented in housing repair, construction, and remodeling. He and his brother were the original incorporators of Crews Construction, Inc. After several years in construction, Robb returned to his "first love" career in the auto repair industry. He worked at various times for Calgon Chemical, the International Nickel Plant, Rupys Auto Repair, and Rich Toyota. His was currently employed at Dutch Miller Chevrolet as a top-rated body and fender technician. In his spare time, Robb enjoyed practicing one of his other talents in graphic art, as well as raising and training his dogs. Robb attended Huntington East High School until he made a senior year transfer to Huntington High School in order to achieve early graduation. Following high school graduation he attended The West Virginia Institute of Technology in Montgomery, West Virginia. Robert Crews, III made the transition from this earthly life on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at St. Marys Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert K. Crews, Jr. as well as his paternal grandparents, Harrison T. and Frances McClain Joyce, and his maternal grandparents, Helen Powell Crews and Robert Crews, Sr. Left to cherish his memoryalong with his mother, Lolitaare his siblings, Ronald and wife Beverly Crews, Vera and husband Walter Walker, Richard "Ricci" Crews, and Helen Cooper. Also, surviving are his daughters Andrea Crews, Jessica Crews, and Rylyn Crews; grandchildren Alona Nicks, Malachi Crews, Adonis Nelson, and Amir Nelson; aunts Shirley Pleasant, Jean Mickens, and Sue Howard; and long-time companion, Carolyn Eubanks. Additionally, there were several other relatives and friends. A quiet and gentle spirit, Robb will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Funeral service will be conducted 6 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with visitation being held one hour prior to the service.
