I remember Bobby. A great friend of mine, Andy Ketterman, was a mentor of his. I remember seeing play at a little place on 7th street with Andy. I bought his LP.
Bob's wedding present to my wife and I was to play classical guitar in a small chapel in Man WV in June of 1980 for the 20 minutes or so while people gathered and took their places. We were friends when we lived in Williamson WV and lost touch the way people do over the years. I will take out Bob's LP of classical guitar and play it and remember.

So sorry to here this news. We spent some great times in high school years, listening to Bob play guitar, while pondering life and good thoughts. Those were the days, my friend. Steve and I last saw Bob at our 35th PHS reunion in 2006, at Holliday Inn and had a great room-party together...... such a sad loss. RIP dear friend. Steve and Sandi Flinn
Bob was more than a friend and mentor, he was family to me and my family. A twist of fate put us together on a marvelous journey that spanned over thirty years and a million laughs. He was the most gentle, creative genius I've ever met. We shared countless hours together playing and writing songs and stories together, as well as countless more hours on stage, at the beach or his house on the river. We probably logged a few hundred thousand miles on the road together as well, and each mile was an adventure. If you met him, you will never forget him. I'll forever be grateful for mine and my family's time with him. We are all heartbroken at the moment, but we are also encouraged by the faith we will meet again one day on the other side. Rest in peace Bob. It was a true honor to be your partner and friend for so many years. I know Sally and all who cared for you will miss you more than words can express. I also know that together, we will keep your memory alive forever. Love you pal, Rick
