Robert Ellis Fletcher's Obituary
Robert Ellis Fletcher, 71, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born on June 5,1954 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Ellis and Hazel Ratliff Fletcher. Rob is survived by his beloved wife, Susan L Fletcher, three children, Andrew (Ursula) of Park City, Utah; Cassie Miller (Chris) of Huntington, WV; Josh (Elizabeth) of Boca Raton, FL and six grandchildren: Carmen & Isabel Fletcher; Fletcher, Carter & Charlotte Miller; and Connor Mitchell. Additionally, he is survived by two sisters: Carol Hoover (Ron) of Barboursville, WV and Barbara McClinney (Raymond) of Norfolk, VA and multiple beloved nieces and nephews. He graduated from Vinson High School in 1972. He built a rich life full of family, friends, community and adventures. As a child, he loved tagging along with his three older sisters and even popping balloons at their birthday parties. Rob married Susan L. Mannon in 1976 and together raised three children in Proctorville. Rob was the owner of Proctorville Gateway, where his work ethic and kindness touched countless lives. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing and whitewater rafting. He and Susan traveled to various National Parks together. Rob enjoyed operating his Ham radio and collecting QSL cards from all over the world. In his later years, he delighted in watching wildlife from his front porch and cheering on The Ohio State football team. He cherished each of his dear life-long friendships. Above all, he adored his grandchildren and loved the Lord. A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at Hall Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com
