Robert Tice Johnson, 75, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV.He was born on November 11, 1948, in Huntington, WV to the late Tice and Norma Galloway Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother Mary Johnson.He is survived by his sister Karen (Don) Jacks, a son Ryan (Jill) Johnson, grandson Ian Johnson, all of Chesapeake, OH. Additional survivors include his nieces, Lori (Nathan) Sanders, Nora (Greg) McCleese, and nephew Donnie (Glinda) Jacks; great nieces and nephews, Charles (Kayla) Sanders, Tara (Stephen) McClure, Ian McCleese, Emily (Austin) Oldaker, Maggie (Toby) Smathers, Trinity Jacks, Sam McCleese, and Xander Jacks; four great great nieces, Paisley, Whitley, Savannah, and Miley; his lifetime friend Tom Murdock as well as extended family and his church family.Bob was a 1967 graduate of Chesapeake High School. A Veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Kenova Box in Kenova, WV. and a member of the 5th Street Church of Christ.A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Greasy Ridge Church of Christ, Chesapeake, Ohio with visitation being held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. also at the church.
